Before I picked up this memoir I had no idea who Peter Churchill was Turns out he was an British secret agent who went on four missions in WWII France His memoir starts in July 1941 with Sabotage Training Schools and wraps up in April 1943 when he and his courier his future wife were betrayed and captured If you re at all interested in WWII resistance movements, you absolutely need to read his account of his wartime experiences He has written his memoir in the style of a first person novel, so it s compulsively readable He was a part of so many stunning and fascinating events, and his story kept me hooked from the beginning I actually would like to know of his life before and after the events of this book I will definitely have to look into of Peter Churchill s writings.
